FundraisingDonor Management

Manage donors

Work with your donor list, review individual gifts and resend receipts, send newsletters to donors and prospects, and track opens in the email log.

Overview

Once the Donor module is on, you have four tools for working with the people who give — and might give — to your camp:

  • Donations – every gift received, grouped by donation page.

  • Donor list – your contacts, with each person's giving history.

  • Newsletter – a quick email to your donor list.

  • Email log – a record of newsletters sent and how many were opened.

All four live under the Donor section in your navigation.

Donations

The Donations list shows individual gifts. Use the filters at the top to choose a donation page and a date range, then Filter to update the list. Gifts are grouped under each donation page with a subtotal, and a grand total appears at the bottom.

Each row shows the gift date, donation page, donor first and last name, amount, email, and phone.

body
Resend receiptbutton

Sends the donor's receipt email again. Use this when a giver says they did not receive their receipt or needs another copy for their records.

A receipt is emailed automatically when a gift is completed. Resend receipt simply sends the same receipt again — it does not create a new charge.

Donor list

The Donor list is your people directory. It includes both donors (people who have given) and prospects (contacts you have added who have not given yet). Use the donation page filter to focus on people tied to a specific page.

Add or edit a contact

Select Add donor contact to open a form where you can enter a first and last name, email (required), phone with country code, and whether the person may receive newsletters. To change someone already in the list, select Edit on their row.

Add prospects by hand to build a mailing list before your campaign starts. They will receive newsletters if their Newsletter setting is Yes, even before they make a first gift.

Send a newsletter

The Newsletter tool sends an email to your donor list. You choose who receives it, write a subject and a formatted message, and send.

Choose your audience

Under Send to, pick one of:

  • All donor list contacts – everyone on your list.

  • Donors only – people who have given.

  • Prospects only – contacts who have not given yet.

Write your message

Enter a Subject, then compose your message in the formatting editor. You can style text, add links, and lay out your update.

Send

Select Send newsletter. Campium confirms how many contacts it was sent to.

Newsletters only go to contacts whose Newsletter setting is Yes. Contacts opted out are skipped automatically.

Email log

The Email log records the newsletters you have sent so you can see what went out and how it landed. It has two parts.

Newsletter summary

A table of each send, grouped by subject and date, showing:

body
Sentnumber
Required

How many emails went out in that send.

body
Openednumber
Required

How many recipients opened the email.

body
Open ratetext
Required

Opened divided by sent, shown as a percentage.

Individual emails

Below the summary, a list of the most recent individual emails (up to 500) shows the send time, subject, recipient email and name, and when it was opened. Each row has a Resend action to send that email again to the same person.

Open rates depend on recipients' email apps loading images, so treat them as a helpful guide rather than an exact count.
